Like many old Shropshire market towns Oswestry has descended into a few charity shops and basic needs. The market is similar with few stalls that you would expect in a town market. Not much there unless you want to buy used furniture or old coins.

The market itself was very small and a lot of tat, though this wasnt on a weekend that is artesan! The street performers were however excellent

Oswestry is an interesting old market town with loads of history to it, i like the shops and the customer service was brilliant. I woukd recomend this place to anybody whi likes history.

We stopped in Oswestry four a couple of hours and lucky for us it was market day. The outdoor market is a old fashioned real market it was a delight with a lovely mix of stalls

Visited recently with my 10 yr old daughter .Grew up in Oswestry so this was a market from my childhood .Hasnt changed a bit.Very good old toy/model shop on upstairs floor run by very friendly lady .

Worth visiting if nearby, with the indoor and outdoor markets there is a good range of stalls and outlets with very reasonable prices

Have loved moving to Oswestry and having the market on our doorstep. Really recommend people venture all the way up to the top and browse the indoor market, which is on two floors. Everything from cheese to Welsh language books and hand made silver jewellery...More
