The village has improved since mining ceased. Some small interesting cafes. A lot better than the nearby visitor centre.

We stopped to visit after driving through this pretty village on the way to Sherwood Forest. We parked in a very small but busy car park & looked around some very niche shops including, art work, carpentry, home made soaps, candles, homemade chocolates & alcohol...More

Went there after visiting the new Sherwood visitor centre. It is a beautiful little village with some lovely shops, cafes and bars. The church where Robin Hood and Maid Marion were married is a must.

Title says it all, lovely little village with a very good selection of shops, pubs and places to visit. If you ate visiting Sherwood then you need to take a little time to meander around here.

Quaint village with easy access to tourist features, e.g. Sherwood Forest etc. We stayed here and returned during the day to watch The Tour of Britain.

Nice little village with plenty of pubs, eateries and a very useful co-op! Not too much to see and do but great for a quick walk around. Plenty of nice shops to swing by and visit

Nice little village close to Sherwood Forest, this place has a few dog friendly pubs, Indian and Chinese food, fish and chip shop, co-op and various other food outlets. Free parking a bonus and worth a visit.

This is a quaint village, about 5 minutes drive from Sherwood Forest. At the centre of the Village is the statues of Robin Hood and Maid Marian
