Finally made it to Wallington Hall and the property is as interesting as I thought. It adds to the experience if something has been read beforehand; in my case, it was David Cannadine's biography of G.M. Trevelyan, a scion of the donor family. The volunteer...More

We did not manage to get into the house; the garden alone was worth an entire visit. It is a delightful surprise, mainly separated from the house and an enticing journey through paths and different areas before finally you arrive at a small gate in...More

We spent several hours at this NT property, and didn't see it all. Large gardens, house and walled garden. Some work going on around the house, and new driveway being put down.

Wallington was recommended to us by the staff at Cragside. When we arrived we found the staff in the entrance building very helpful and we loved the bird viewing window. We started off by taking the river walk which was really nice and much enjoyed...More

This is a National Trust house that I’ve never seen mentioned on TV programmes. In Northumberland it’s always Cragside that gets the publicity. Being on holiday in the area and being a NT member I saw this property in the annual guide book. What a...More

The guides didn't know much, referred me to the room book guides... No tour of the outside, no explanations of the gargoyles outside, not enough info on the Fenwicks and how they all came to acquire the house... I'm an avid national trust visitor but...More

This property had the nicest walled Garden I have seen. LArge and very well looked after. The house was also lovely but it really is the gardens that stand out. Well done to all the staff for how good this property is.

Sorry I'm not sure. You would have to contact them direct. When we go we like to take our own lunch and sit outside. We just buy the coffee in the cafe. Hope this helps.

Yes. You need to take the M1 from the bus station and it is going to cost you £5 to get there approximately. According to google. We alwayz go by car with the family.
