This trail will take you around the town and gives you the chance to see it as Lowry did on his many visits. His pictures reveal his understanding of the town and its surrounds

We didn't follow the trail but stumbled upon the boards at various places while wandering around the town which gave interesting little insights into Lowry's interpretations of scenes around the place. Lovely.

Well laid out trail following places in Berwick on Tweed that Lowry enjoyed and indeed painted. Clock tower being hthe most familiar! But loved the football match by the town walls

we went on this walk to get some fresh air on our way back home. Very glad we did. A bracing walk around Berwick with fantastic views.

We stumbled across the Lowry trail when walking along the Town walls. Well worth taking a few hours out of your day to do this.

We did not have time for the whole of the trail and some of the displays could do with a bit of freshening up but for Lowry fans it is really interesting and it gave an added focus to our trip around the walls.

Now I just don't understand Lowry. How he can paint such a lush village in minimalist form escapes me. But it's a lovely walk and gives insight into the composition of his works. Well worth the effort.

Quirky old artist who loved northern gritty scenes. Helps give a feel for the place while taking the air.

Hi I would say a good hour . We stopped and started diverting here and there. Plus a lunch stop so not really too sure!! Enjoy it anyway. The landscapes just as they were. My imagination went into overdriveSarah
