Had a lovely stroll alongside the river from the Quay Walls to the castle ruins which we enjoyed exploring. You also get to walk under the magnificent Royal Border Bridge. It's also worth visiting Castle Vale Park where we sat and had a picnic in beautiful surroundings

Not much remains of this old castle (thanks to the Victorian's !!) but what there is left is more than enough to fire the imagination. Sited on the wonderful River Tweed and adjacent to the railway bridge (a sight in itself), it is well worth a visit to try and imagine all the life that went on here over the... More

You will find the Castle and ramparts adjacent to the town's railway station and exploring this site can be part of a much lengthier walk around the... More

The ruins are worth seeing underneath in all its glory and beauty. The castle is near the railway bridge and tommy the millers.

A pleasant and engaging walk to visit what little remains of a once impressive feature of the area. If you like a walk, research the history and enjoy the view.

Worth the walk as the riverside and bridges are nice to see, The Castle is little more than a small ruin, but you can imagine how it once would have dominated this corner of the the Tweed
