Greeted at the admissions kiosk by a friendly, very well informed lady who gave an abundance of information about the Gardens. After exploring various areas we visited the Earl Grey Tearooms where we enjoyed delicious cakes and tea served by very friendly staff. A great place to visit, beautiful gardens and Tearooms with very friendly staff.

Just the thing for a lunch in-between garden walks. My Herring Salad was memorably (and locally sourced, of course). They even took care of my gluten problems, making sure I had new potatoes instead of bread, which I appreciated.

We have driven past Howick Hall many times on our way to Craster etc., and always planned to visit some day. Today was the day. We had a lovely time, plenty of flowers and flowering shrubs to see even though it is still a bit early in the year. The gardens are such that you are hardly aware that there... More

We have been to this area of Northumberland before but hadn't visited Howick Hall Gardens so were very pleasantly surprised at this wonderful step back in time. We arrived a few minutes before opening time still but received a great welcome with lots of information at the entrance office. A map showing the various walks was provided suggesting a route... Beautiful grounds, so many varieties of daffodil, amazing trees and blossom. Very nice cream tea in the elegant ballroom. Good time of year to visit and the experience was appreciated by us all - age range 12 to 81.

We visited during when the daffodils were in full bloom. Beautiful gardens, to which we didn't do justice, spending only an hour or two there as my Mum can't walk very far. If we return, I'd definitely hire a wheelchair so we can see the whole garden and arboretum, You could easily spend all day here. Tea room in the... More

Although I love this place and have done since I was a child, I am increasingly concerned about my treatment at the ticket office! It's not the most welcoming of service and today, and presumably the poor people waiting behind me, were made to feel like they were a major inconvenience. I am a season ticket holder, so a regular... More

Staying in Craster & had not been to the Howick garden for over thirty years so we decided to put that right, glad we did, although the weather wasn't at it's best we had a really lovely few hours. So peaceful, the daffodils were a picture, still plenty yet to open into flower, it should be a glorious site by... More

My special needs son and I visited Howick Gardens last week. Our lunch in the beautiful and spacious Tea Room was delicious. Our visit fell a few days before my sons 21st Birthday, and I was blown away when all the staff sang Happy Birthday as they brought my sons chocolate cake desert out complete with candle. It made his... More
