Many thasks for your comments Raneved. Given that our museum is entirely volunteer run, it is a big motivator for everyone to hear that the effort is appreciated
It's always great to find a museum that combines historical events with daily life as people have lived it through the ages, This is one of the best I've seen, especially as the exhibits have come from volunteers. Well worth a visit whether you live nearby...More

Great museum focusing on the social history of the area which I found really interesting, two lovely ladies on the entrance were a joy and you could tell they were really passionate about the museum and the work they do.
This Museum is well worth a visit and great value for money. It is in a good location, very close to the Castle. The artefacts are very interesting and provide clear factual information about the history of the North East. I enjoyed the WI Exhibition....More

This is a small museum but it's interactive with some excellent photo opportunities including dress up! The museum tells you all about the history of Alnwick.
We spent a while here and all really enjoyed it. It would also be suitable for people with children....More
If you aren't wanting to pay the extortionate prices for Alnwick Castle and Gardens this is a great alternative. Adult tickets are £4, the staff are very friendly and helpful and there are some quirky exhibitions.
