This is a small National trust run mini-museum that adds interest to your visit to Robin Hood's Bay as it tells you more about the history and sea-life. It's very small so doesn't take long and well worth popping in if you're in the village.

We love the telephones in the Coastguard station that tell of the history behind the smugglers, the falling cliffs etc. Well worth a visit if you want to learn all about the coastline of Robin Hood's Bay

A pretty standard National Trust shop with an interactive display area and friendly staff. The highlight was the living lobster pot display and interpretation - fascinating for all.

A small shop is supported with a series of boards explaining local history and a circular tank with types of sea creatures found locally. We stayed in the National Trust cottage 'Boatman's Loft' above the station, and could see that there is also an education...More
