Use this site regularly to push the grandkids around the lake to get some fresh air and look at the wildlife. Good facilities for adult coffee and cake afterwards Regular visitors should buy a parking season ticket.

This is one of our go to places for a short walk on all weather surfaces. The route round the lake takes us about 30 minutes at a fairly modest pace. It was very busy today, Sunday, with dog walkers and families walking or cycling....More

Terrible. Sadly the second time visit. No sausage left so scrambled egg and bacon sandwich on gluten free bread. Bacon and egg inedible. Bread ok! Really disappointed as it’s the second time of trying. Hubbys panini was ok!

Lovely well kept place. We love it so much we've bought an annual parking pass. The cafe is nice too. We regularly run around the various tracks and finish with a relaxing drink.

We often use Hicks Lodge as a base for a country run. Lovely little cafe to help refuelling! Car park on site but make sure you get a ticket from the machine!

Not too taxing. Just the right level of difficulty to keep your eye in. Plus a variety of different routes for the kids.
