The oldest pub in Whitstable. A 15th Century listed building with a large car park and extensive, lawned beer garden. 2 bars serving quality real ales, lagers and spirits, and a separate restaurant area. BT Sports shown, also a pool table and dart boards inside, and Bat & Trap in the garden.

Visited two brewers on a Friday lunchtime they had a jazz band playing ,the pub was filled with older folk and the atmosphere was excellent the beer is very good ,good service and good price snacks .also the band was very good ,will return.

Nice friendly traditional pub with a really big attractive garden which is great in the summer. Decent selection of bitter which is always well kept.

easily the best pub in whitstable! traditional, cosy, and CLEAN pub, spacious bar, pool area, and extension with tables for a delicious home cooked Sunday roast or a function. Our wedding reception was held in the extensive, well kept garden in the summer... absolutely perfect....More

Great pub to go to :) lovely staff and a nice relaxing pub feel. In this heat the garden is great to have a nice cold refreshing drink in. 5/5!
