The grass slopes give way to the pebble beach that denotes the shoreline. Beach huts on part of the slope make this a family beach. At the moment a disused café on the seafront, will it reopen?

Very peaceful beach, clean and not too busy. Lovely for families but also couples. Water is cleaner than most with seaweed. Quaint shops on outskirts and lovely beach huts

Free parking, beautifully kept beach huts, traditional cafés serving good, but simple fare. The beach is unspoilt, clean and the water inviting. There were only two negatives and one of them was beyond human control, seaweed... I looked like I had a seaweed wrap by...More

We rented out a beach hut on this beautiful stretch of beach for the day & it really is very very lovely. The sun was shining, the sky looked miles high and the water was twinkling under the rare UK sunshine. The beach is made...More

Just like it says in the title, sun was beaming, water looked a beautiful blue and there was the gentlest breeze, not sure if everyone who was there are residents or visitors, but there was a wonderful community atmosphere, reminded me of the good old...More

A beach for walking the path but not the pebbles. Breakwaters every ten yards for safety. Good view to sea but not a classic sea front.

This is a very long stretch of coast with lawns and promenade, all well kept by the council. Dogs not allowed on the beach during the summer and must be kept on a lead elsewhere. Fine views across the sea to the wind farm.

The beach is pebbly but clean and it was relaxing to walk along the flat promenade past all the colourful beach huts on a Sunday morning in Spring. Quite a few people about with dogs and firendly atmosphere. Would like to return on a sunny...More

This is a nice beach however it is not my preferred sand. Improves in the summer when the massive increase in visitor numbers sees more facilities open.

We went there for a morning walk and I guess there was a 'running by the beach' event during the time of our visit. Lots of colourful huts by the beach and I don't really know whether they are to be rented out or what....More

Yes we rented one on the front row but you have to book in advance. You can’t hire them there on the day. Just do a search for whitstable beach hut hire & you’ll have your pick of ones to choose from!
