Over in Whitstable when England were playing Panama in FWC 2018, wanted a place with some atmosphere, but not too much! This was ideal, and it looks like the sort of place I would love to call my local, except I don't leave nearby. Friendly...More

Built tapering as a 'V' shape between a junction of roads, TDofC is naturally narrow at one end (bar area) but much larger in an open area. Mixture of standard rigid back chairs & leather settees adorn the pub. Great retro feel to TDoC with...More

We stayed 2 nights at The Garden Hotel and Restaurant. Firstly the staff were very nice and helpful - could not fault their politeness and manner. We stayed in a two bedroom garden view suite. Rooms were very large allowing for ample space for suitcases...More

Large atmospheric retro pub. Central horseshoe-shaped bar and old-style furniture. Some nice tiling and wood panelling. Retro radios, televisions and model ships around the walls. A good range of real ales. I liked my visit.

I really enjoyed haven't a few drinks in this pub. The decor is really quirky and right up my alley. The drinks are reasonable priced and there's a nice beer garden. I also noticed they regularly have live music there, something I'd be interested in...More

Popped in here for a drink last night. Atmosphere was good. Drinks good but the female member of staff who served us was really sullen and curt with us. Would return but will avoid being served by her. Good outside area if weather fine.

Reconnecting with past and decided to pop in here for a drink. Lovely place, friendly and welcoming bar staff. Loved the decor with all the musical art work. Looked like music was a big influencing factor and had live bands as well. Did try and...More
