Our golf course was busy today so "The Gorgeous Mrs Bird" (hereafter known as The GMB, my better half, suggested a drive out to Whitstable). We were fortunate as the weather is starting to close in but managed a walk along the sea front, where...More

Always stop here for lunch whilst visiting Whitstable, lovely to sit outside with the dog, lots of tables. Ordered ploughmans lunch as it was windy and cooked food would have got cold very quickly. Also dog friendly inside pub.

My partner and I came here after walking along the front of Whitstable for a bite to eat. It is a lovely place, and great atmosphere sitting in the garden by the beach. It is pricier than some places but worth the money. The only...More

We always go to the old Neppie but I wish they offered more vegetarian options. The veggie burger is just a breaded vegetable mush - not very appetising at all! A great alternative would be mushroom and halloumi burger or beer battered halloumi and chips....More

Didn't go inside as my husband bought the drinks but a lovely spot to sit at one of the tables and look out onto the water. Great introduction to Whitstable.

The location is the key here. An ok pub with good service. Sitting outside having a beer looking at the sea and the sunset is a great way to finish a day at the beach.

White clapperboard building right on the shale beach. Great bar inside serving a decent selection of drinks. Didn't eat but looked popular when we were there. Pleasant, efficient staff.

Situated right on the sea front you would hope it would have great views of the sea and beach and it does, a great place to watch the sunset. Inside it's quite small but nice and friendly. Nice range of beers so it's well worth...More

Actually on the beach! Like something out of Dickens - wonderful old clapper board pub. Staff get over-run on a summer's day at weekend but do their best. Not a bad choice of Kent beers. Plastic glasses though. Tables outside on the beach but haven't...More

There is a door from the road behind the pub but I can't remember if it has a step. Not sure about dogs or wifi. The food we had was excellent.
