Beautiful church with lots of history. Well worth a visit

A lovely small church with origins going back to the 12th century! There is a brochure for sale which provided all information and photos needed.

The inside is absolutely stunning. But the thing that made this church is the lovely lovely atmosphere. It is SO welcoming even with no-one there.

This church was actually founded by some of my ancestors, so I've stopped here both in 2011 and 2013! We attended an Evensong service that was both beautiful and moving. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly! If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping in.

Outside "just another church" but inside a lovely building with its family connections being on display, the stained glass windows both fore and aft are highly detailed and a joy to look at and study, and has that elusive atmosphere that invites you to take time out and linger.

St Mildred's is everything you wish a country town church to be. Beautiful interior, great views from the Church Tower and a long history. Horatio Nelson's only daughter was married to a previous Rector. Calm and paceful and a place to think.

This church ticks all the boxes, from its architecture to its ambience. Beautiful stained glass windows adorn this historic building. It is clearly a well loved place of worship. Don't forget to look up at the stunning ceiling and how it doesn't quite fit the arch! Well worth a visit.

Just off Tenterden's attractive High Street, this spacious church and its grounds provide a calm, quiet place to rest. The current building dates from around the 1180s and deserves exploration. There are interesting things to see from every period of its construction. My favourite is the near-400-year-old Whitfield Memorial in the Lady Chapel.
