A classic part of The History of Sandwich is the bridge and the nearby gateway which until recently was the main road in. Worth having a look

Lovely historic town with a pretty waterfront and the toll bridge has an unusual ancient list of toll charges.

A great place to see the history of the toll bridge, and to see how times have changed, since the introduction of the car.

Great example of a medievel bridge gatehouse /tool house. Not much to see but close your eyes and imagine all those Sixteenth Century Wool Merchants rumbling past.
