Lovely area for a quiet stroll but do accept that signage (all around Sandwich) is not good but do not expect pretty flower beds etc as really just a green oasis to stroll in

this is a little oasis of calm and a great place to take children to feed the ducks, unfortunately the floods last year damaged the place beyond belief - - its closed at the moment to give the flora and fauna time to recoup ....More

Sadly this nature reserve has been closed for a while due to flood damage so it's hasn't been possible to visit. However I have been visiting this nature reserve since I was a child and it's a beautiful place for families to see and learn...More

Maybe it's just me being stupid but I couldn't find anything that resembled a nature reserve. Signage in Sandwich is not as good as it should be in a town that seeks to attract visitors but there was a sign to a 'nature reserve' (not...More

Tucked away alongside the river this nature reserve is brilliant. A gentle walk around is a great way to unwind. The large lake is teaming with wildlife - and you can buy food to feed the ducks. I make a point of finding time to...More

A wonderful small nature reserve, unusual for the fact that most of the water is brakish - so little life in water other than the main pond. Lots of birds to see and quiet paths to walk in what is a mainly wooded area

I was a regular visitor here in the 1990s when there always seemed to be plenty of visitors enjoying the wildfowl on the pond which is the main feature here. I revisited one afternoon this summer for the first time in many years and I...More

Well worth a visit even for non 'twitchers' like me. Take a flask of tea and a paperback, chose a nice day, find a bench and leave the world behind for an hour.
