I went to this pub around four or five years ago and thought it was the best pub I had ever been to. "The Moon under Water"" in George Orwell's famous essay. Wonderful staff, beer and so atmospheric with barrels of beer on show, on...More

Great selection of fruity ciders! A lovely warm fire place! Great atmosphere! The place is only small but it's a great little place to have a drink with friends on a night out in Margate.

Why more pubs don't do different cheeses with beer I have no idea. I loved having a decent cheddar with crackers, pickles and a beer here. Fairly priced too. Well done.

This place used to have racks of cask beer and was cosy and quaint, now it is dominated by Brewdog beers, which I am a fan of, but they seem a little out of place here... don't think the Saturday DJ scenario works either.

A tiny bar with an interesting selection of drinks. Beware the cider. It's very nice but lethal! Evening somewhat spoilt by drunks at the large pub opposite which offers very cheap beer.

The lifeboat is a pub in Margate Old Town, near the "Main Sands" area. It is affiliated with Brewdog and offers a fairly comprehensive selection of their real ales, all on tap and in great condition. Prices however are steep(!), and for beers above 6%...More
