It doesn't look much from the outside, but on entering the hut there is a lot of information to read and items to view. A good addition to the grounds for those interested in the military.

Thank you for your kind review. There is special significance in our Kent connections, and also in our connections with the old County of London. The Kent Yeomanry’s connection is of course with Kent; the Sharpshooters are the County of London Yeomanry.

This is situated on the hill past the gift shop to the right of the castle. There is an armoured car and an anti tank gun outside. The museum is small but has a detailed history of the Yeomanry from its inception at the time...More

We visited today when we visited the Castle. This is only a small museum but we'll worth a visit. The section of WW1 trench was very good and the sound effects gave you a little idea what life in the trenches must have been like....More

I am very glad you found our trench display effective. The sound effects were put together by Dan Taylor our Curator - it's his voice barking out the orders! Did you also find the voice recording of Brian Osborne's letters (the schoolboy stowaway at Gallipoli)...More

The display is very comprehensive covering historical and up to date information of the Kent and Sharpshooters Yeomanry. Outside are armoured vehicles and artillery static displays which children and adults alike will enjoy. Well worth visitingMore

This museum set in the grounds of Hever castle, is excellent, it traces how a local Yeomanry regiment was formed and fought through many wars since its conception upto the modern day Reservist soldier, I love Hever and this museum has greatly inhanced my experience...More
