This an unpleasant pub. The landlord, a Mr Phil Bailey, treated our mixed group of friends to a tirade of verbal abuse and threatening behaviour. The drinks were poor and the service worse.

Great place for a reasonable Sunday Lunch. Three meat choices and numerous vegetables including roast potatoes and cauliflower bake. Meal served by staff (great crackle on the pork) but you help yourself to the vegetables. Deserts available and other food choices can be ordered. Condiments...More

This is now the third year of visiting in September. Sunday lunch at The Alma has a wonderful family/friendly atmosphere. The roast lunch is fantastic and plentiful. Well done. Look forward to visiting again. June & Michael.

We regularly come here for the Sunday roast as it is very reasonably priced and always tastes brilliant. We visit a lot of other pubs for a Sunday roast and can never seem to find a roast as homely as this, granny's roast we call...More

This seems to be a back street locals pub. Football on the TV. The beer was not the best we tasted that day. The place was very busy which is good it keeps the place open. The decor was in need of some TLC.
