Went to see a B Gees tribute band who were very good, but after the half way interval people were allowed to dance at the front of the hall so those who wished to just sit and watch and enjoy the band were left disapointed
This theatre is delightful - a bit of a time warp - with a very eclectic programme of activities and shows.
It can be a bit squishy when it is cabaret style seating but that all adds to the fun.

Visited on 3 March to see Albert Lee and his new American band on the 3rd night of their UK tour. Been waiting a long time to see him so it was especially fortunate to be in such a cosy and friendly venue.

Next week at the Astor we have our own youth theatre's production of Shakespeare's As You Like It. There is a preview performance on Wednesday 27th and two further performances on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th. All performances start at 7.30pm. There is also 'A Little Toy Shop of Horrors' summer drama school for 7-12 year olds, starting on Monday 25th and runs all week from 10am - 3pm. Finally, on Saturday morning the 30th we have The Secret Drawing Club. A life drawing class with a difference.
