Biddenden Vineyards is Kent’s oldest commercial vineyard having been established by the Barnes family in 1969. Original plantings of 1/3 acre have now grown to 22 acres, producing award winning White, Red, Rosé and Sparkling English Wines. The famous Biddenden Cider is also produced at the vineyard; a strong, still cider produced from a blend of Kentish culinary and desert apples, along with Biddenden Farm Pressed Apple & Pear juices. The vineyard is open to visitors throughout the year and admission and tastings are FREE of charge. Free guided tours are run on selected dates, giving visitors the chance to learn more about the history of the vineyard and more.

England makes little pretense of trying to compete with traditional continental red wine ranges, as the weather is not conducive to needed depth of taste and texture. However, there's still plenty of room to play and a Biddenden Vineyard's a fine place to enter the...More

Unlike many places, it is very unassuming and authentic establishment. You get to try many wines and ciders and children can choose their favourite apple juices. Fancy Kent produce? It is available too. We end up buying two cases although it is far from supermarket...More

Visiting at this time of year is not ideal as the vines are still lacking in leaves and fruit so if you have the chance to visit at the end of August or beginning of September, there would be more to see on the actual...More

Took my husband for his birthday. Lovely, warm welcome by staff in shop. Great coffee and cake. We strolled by ourselves around the vineyards . Returned to shop, tasted some wines, staff knowledgable. A great morning.

Dropped into this small vineyard out of interest. We were the only visitors at the time, but were made very welcome by the young girl in the shop. We were allowed to walk around the workplace of the vineyard and the fields where the vines...More

Definitely not dog friendly. Maybe I am wrong to assume, however if you attend a vineyard that offers a free tasting, and states it is dog friendly on the website, you would expect to be able to enter the vineyard shop where said free tasting...More

They'd love it. Lots of space to run around, and they can see the wine making equipment all around the shop. Nice places to sit inside and outside, plenty of treats in the shop suitable for children.
