Me and my partner took the chair lift down to alum bay beach and then a speedboat around the needles. For me this was the most entertaining way to enjoy the day and after we bought some gifts from the attraction site. Good for 3-4...More

If you are on the Isle of Wight you must take the chair lift down to Alum Bay to see the coloured sands even though the parking is over priced at £5. The chair lift starts off fairly gently but gets a bit scary as...More

We went here as we were staying on the Isle of Wight and had not seen the Needles before. What a total disappointment! The traffic was queued a long way back towards Freshwater when we arrived - about 11am on an overcast Sunday. When we...More

You drive up to the Needles and as many reviews have already mentioned, there is the one big £5 car park (free for National Trust). From there you can either walk out one end of the car park and along a 20-30 minute walk to...More

THis is a good place to see the sights, go on ther chair lift and walk out to the fort. But I think £5 for the car park is far too much and the attractions are expensive £6 for the chair lift! All other things...More

Free parking for NT members. Lots of extra activities mainly for the kids. Walked down to the beach - easy steps to see the needles from one view and then took to the coast to see from another view. Excellent scenery on a bright sunny...More

Having never been to the Isle of Wight we thought we must go to see The Needles and we're glad we did. We had our 2 year old son with us so didn't want to risk the chair lift down to the beach. We decided...More

Hi yes it is suitable for a dog but I suspect you would have to have him on the lead at all times. It is a great day out. Enjoy
