A really interesting little museum charting the history of this lovely town. Lots for children to get involved with and plenty of interest for the biggies too. The volunteers are a great bunch who are eager to chat and involve you. Well worth popping in.

If you have any American visitors I can certainly recommend Tring Local History Museum. They will be especially interested in the association between The Washington Family and Tring. They can also buy a superb book on the subject.

If you only want half hour to visit a museum, this is the one. Very informative and easy to read all the exhibits, gives all the local history of the place. Free but they rely on donations.

This museum certainly packs a lot in a little space. The displays and exhibits are all very well thought out and presented. The story of Tring is presented in a time line which explains how each period of British History affected the development of the town and surrounding area. By putting things in a context you can get a very... More

A great way to learn about Tring through the ages. Washington family have beginnings here. Straw plaiters supplied Luton Hat makers from Tring. Lots of literature and small educational amusements for KIds. Well run tidy and crammed with Ting Info , allow an hour to visit.

This is a tiny museum - just one room - but it is packed with information about Tring's history from ancient times to the present day. It is well presented and tells you some of the personal history of the inhabitants of the town as well as displaying a few artefacts. It is only open on certain days, but if... More
