We are moving to Pitstonevery soon but prior to our move had a look around College Lake. It was stunning. Can't wait to take our grandson. There was so much to do and see and of course the stop at the coffee shop for refreshments. Will definitely be going back.

The walk around the lake is just right if you have small children and there are plenty of interesting things to look at and space to 'mess around' as children do like to raom free. It's a nice, easy, relaxing way to spend a quiet Sunday. It has facilities for a hot or cold drink at the visitors centre.

We had a lovely walk around this amazing site. Lots of interesting things to see and do for younger children as they walk around the lake. Well worth a visit.

Four adults and two little boys visited for a Saturday afternoon walk around the lake (about 2 miles). There are several routes and even a smartphone safari, so plenty to keep your interest. It's a great place for birdwatching, there are several hides, also observing the wetlands and fields. At the end of the hike the little cafe, run by... More

We regularly walk around the quarry lake and enjoy it's tranquility. The paths are mostly level so it's easy going. This visit was during the half term holiday and we had expected there to be lots of children but that was not the case, instead there seemed to be a number of grandparents with young toddlers. It's always intetesting to... More

A nice place to visit for an easy going walk. There are second-hand books for sale and a coffee shop in the visitor centre. The views of the lake are pretty especially when the weather is clear. No admission charge but a suggested donation to use the car park.

Was a very cold day when we visited so stayed inside. Some activities indoors but better to visit when weather good to get the benefit of the full experience. Good place for children to learn about their surroundings and wildlife visiting. No charge but donations welcome.

Makes for a good quick walk round the lake, even though it can get a bit boring when you've done it several times. Nicer on a weekday when it is quieter. Never much bird or wildlife. Can't get close to the lake. Small cafe, free entry ( £3 donation for car park ), disabled carts free which is lovely for... More

The lake itself and the shop and centre staff were great. I'd avoid the cafe though as the manager is very rude which spoilt an otherwise nice morning.
