An oasis of peace, with easy parking and grounds to wander through. The construction of the main hall is beautiful, with lovely wooden beams and designed to be so peaceful

One of the best retreats ever, thank you :) A great space to be still and recharge. If you're looking for a meditation retreat, I highly recommend experiencing the ABM.

They have weekend meditation sessions on Saturday and Sunday. The interior of this monastery is amazing and very soothing. Well worth a visit.

I first visited Amaravati in the summer of 1989. Excuse the hyperbole, but since then part of me has never left. Amaravati translates as 'The deathless realm,' and so the part of me that has never left will never die.

Okay, it's certainly peaceful, but so are lots of places. Frankly I found my visit was disappointing and not really worth going back.
