Took my wife and two daughters at the end of our holiday to Bournemouth to BH to see what it is like. We got a family ticket for just under £20, so a reasonable price. There is a lot to see and there is a...More

We visited on a damp day and rapidly ran out of things to do. Having visited a few houses (the chapel is fascinating), taken a boat trip (disappointing) and eaten in the Master Builder's House Hotel (good) we spent a fascinating hour in the museum.

We really enjoyed the afternoon which included a 30 mins river cruise. The museum was really interesting to look around and good to have a pub on site too!

Wonderful day out, so much history and a really knowledgeable guide ( Great lady but didn't catch her name ) well worth a visit and at £6.50 you really can't argue for value.

Scenic circular walking route that leads to Buckler's yard which is 2 miles long. The views here are wonderful and would be nice for a picnic etc

We sailed in from the Solent and motored up the river, mooring at the marina. It's beautiful and picturesque, rather like going back in time.

Excellent! You must go and see this place. Small museum and an interesting village that oozes history. Fascinating information on wooden ship building and the people who built them. Great food available. A trip on the river is available for a small charge; brilliant!

The car park isn't that big but spaces are big enough for motor homes with good turning space.

I am sure that dogs will be allowed on the river but not sure about the museum other than guide dogs. We didn't do either as we were already on the river -sailing. I hope this helps? Mic
