What a majasticly beautiful place new forest is. From sweeping heaths to picturesque streams and rivers to wonderful villages and beautiful coastlines. My fav place to visit any time of year though summer it's at it best.

A great range of pasture land and heath land that is mostly open to explore at your leisure. There are plenty of car parks and picnic sights as well as interesting things to do. In land it's beautiful and down by the coast it's beautiful.

Beautiful place to visit. Take your time to enjoy the scenery and surroundings. Be prepared for traffic delays with a difference.

Loved the new forest - excellent scenery and wildlife. It was beautifully see the horses and cows in their natural environment. It was kept tidy and had a good, family atmosphere. We could walk in the New Forest all day.

From Lyndhurst, that is a small jewel in typical old fashion style, to the several paths for enjoying the forest, everything is so perfect: the horses let free in the huge field, birds, squirrels and plants and trees. Actually a place to visit. Unforgettable.

Way too expensive for what it is! Great Dorset Steam Fair is so much better value and so much more to see.

This was my first experience ever driving and walking among the horses, ponies and cows. The animals live in the wild and are very friendly. Also the inhabitants of this region are open and helpful towards tourists!

As others have said, it's a vast area. The trains seem to be quite regular from my experience but I've never used them. I've always driven. Certainly, as others have noted, there is hireable transport options but it depends... More
