Fantastic to find somewhere that has not conformed to regulation and reminds you of the years when you went to the pub for a good pint, a chat and maybe a hearty bite to eat. Always been a favourite.

Great, traditional, home cooked food but best to order between 7 and 8. Children can only eat outside in the beer garden, we have several times brought our toddler daughter to eat outside. Great inside on a cold evening with the fire going.

Quaint and very traditional Inn with selection of real ale served from the barrel - which means ambient temperature - nought wrong with that for me. Had a filling meal with fresh salad sides - traditional no nonsense English pub presentation, good value. It’s as...More

I felt that I had stepped way back in time. A joyous experience at that. I can highly recommend a visit. Hot food prepared only on/in a rayburn range. Delightfully authentic pub grub. Locally sourced beer. It is no wonder that this place has been...More

Perhaps the most old fashioned pub I have been to in the last 10 years ! Run by two venerable sisters, it appears that the pub has not been updated for 20 years. Excellent and hearty food but very limited menu so not ideal for...More

The left bar is Victorian and the right bar Edwardian. Very tiny inside - extremely cosy in winter when sat in the Inglenook fireplace! Food is limited but very good and the portions are enormous. Lovely country cottage style garden. We visit often.

Old style typical English pub from years gone past. VERY, VERY small interior "house" bar, just a few seats luckily some outside seating as well. Limited selection of traditional olde pub food perfect. We'll worth a visit

Ham amazing as usual and really should have shared one ploughman' between two but able to take ham we could not eat home for later! Decided to stay inside as it was a very hot day so drinks went down fast.

After an exceptionally pleasant meander around and through the backpaths of Steep; taking in butterflies, turkeys, goats, cows, ducks, rabbits, viewpoints, benches and trees, we happened across the Harrow Inn. It was 2:40pm and was due to close at 3pm, but they were happy enough...More

Outstanding beer and one of the best "Rare Roast Beef Sandwiches" I have ever tasted. It's a real shame there are so few of these great pubs left now. This pub is well hidden and there is very limited room inside a limited car parking.
