Emsworth Museum is dedicated to preserving, recording and telling the story of the town and its locality through the triumphs and tragedies of its people, businesses and organisations- the story of the oyster industry and its people -PG Wodehouse, who lived, worked and played cricket in the town. Maurice Broomfield,the acclaimed photographer and Sir Peter Blake, the world-renowned yachtsman.

I missread the sign and though it was open every Saturday ... but found out it was closed in the winter months. Next time I visit I hope it will be open!

This is one of those great little museums that's got enough local history to be interesting but not too much. A friendly bunch run it, it's free entry so dip your hand's in your pockets and make a donation to keep it running.

This is a really interesting museum. The section about the oyster fishing is very good. We spent about 2 hours on our last visit. It's wonderful to se some of the old photos!

better than expected,both ourselves and the children really enjoyed our experience and will definatly be visiting again in the future

The museum is small but packed full of information on local families, pubs, wartime experiences and there are permanent exhibitions on PG Wodehouse who lived in Emsworth and on the local oyster trade including a very good film. In addition, there are temporary exhibitions on...More

We have visited the museum many times and are always impressed with both the changing and permanent exhibitions. This is a museum well worth visiting and highly recommended!
