A great day out with the family. One of the best steam railways which the kids loved plus acres of freshwater lakes for fishermen or wildlife lovers. Lots of great picnic areas and dog walks. Everything is daily accessed and parking is free.

We took one of our granddaughters here, she enjoyed it enormously. We also found it fun. Also halfway round there's a play area which kept her amused. Parking was nice and easy. Prices weren't too high for the ride.

Probably one of the best ten and a quarter gauge miniature railways in the UK for the variety of locomotives alone, especially the collection of superb historic Bullock locomotives from the 1930's.

Yes it does open on bank holidays. They usually have special events on for the kids as well.
