This is a good way of finding out about Lowry. His life story is told through his paintings and videos - excerpts from old documentaries and a 20 minute summary of his life. Whether you like it I guess depends on what you think of his art. It's well laid out and free to visit (they rightly suggest a voluntary... More

The Lowry is part of a theatre complex with art galleries and a cafe. We made a special visit as my 8 year old son has been studying Lowry art work at school. The display of art is good- however it does not provide for young children or anyone with additional needs. We got literally told off a few times... More

I went to the Lowry museum with a friend because he is one of her favorite artists. I had seen a few paintings of his with Manchester buildings and groups of people. Visiting the museum was such a thrill. We looked at the cityscapes, landscapes, portraits and drawings. The collection ranges from realistic drawings from when he studied life drawing... More

This was my second visit to the Lowry and I was really looking forward to it as it had been a couple of years since I was last here. I really like how this museum is set up and would recommend seeing the short film about Lowry before venturing into the museum itself. This is especially true if you are... More

Arrived around 10ish on a Monday and the shops were open but very quiet. Had a good wonder around and picked up some bargains. Worth a visit.

Probably the most comfortable theatre in Manchester area. Great seats and view from all. Not seen a bad production. Easy access and parking. Always a good evening out

Went to see majic of mowtown at the Lowry. The show was fantastic and we had very good seats and it was well organised. The place itself was very clean. The bar prices were expensive but you got to expect that. Would definitely visit again.
