The Queen's Theatre Hornchurch is a vibrant producing theatre in the London...

The Queen's Theatre Hornchurch is a vibrant producing theatre in the London Borough of Havering, serving East London, Essex and beyond since 1953. As a registered charity and the cultural hub of the region, over 200,000 people enjoy the theatre's programme every year, including the best in home-produced theatre, visiting live entertainment and inspiring Learning and Participation projects. Behind the scenes almost all of our sets and costumes are all lovingly created on-site by our highly skilled carpentry workshop, scenic artists and wardrobe department. The Queen's receives regular funding from the London Borough of Havering and is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. This helps us put theatre at the heart of the cultural life of the community we serve.

I love this theatre mainly because doesn't matter where you sit you have a uninterrupted view of the stage even if the person in front is 6ft, seat aren't too bad either bit cramped but aren't they all. They put on some really good shows and plays and it gives the chance for amateur groups and schools to perform on... More

The entertainment, plays ect are alittle hammy, having said this the pantomimes are great fun not a bad price, great day out, food not the best, I feel they are missing a trick here could up attendance with a pre play evening meal deal. they would need to use professional chef and fresh produce and upgrade décor

We love the Queens and visit almost monthly. 9/19 productions are of very good quality, the occasional may just not quite be to our taste but still good! We've been to the comedy nights as well which are a really nice night out and break the week up. The pre-comedy curries are also good and a bargain for the price!... More

This theatre has a really relaxed approach to things, not to say their slow, but there is a very laid back vibe in there that makes you feel comfortable, at home and instantly puts you in a good mood. We love the place and have seen some really great shows here!

Recently saw an Agatha Christie drama here which was very entertaining and extremely professional. Would recommend the ambience and the great leather seats in the foyer.

This theatre is worthy of support. The shows - performed by the resident group or local Rep companies are west-end standard and quality and prices are very reasonable. The theatre seats about 550 people and has perfectly adequate facilities for those with limited mobility - a whole row of about 20 seats are dedicated to the disabled. The bar is... More

Our local theatre not only has a diverse range of shows and plays which sometimes go on to the west end but also accommodates children's drama schools and musical groups. The bars and cafe facilities are comfortable and reasonably priced. Beat the queue tickets are good value. Tip: if parking, take care to buy ticket from designated area used for... More

I have seen around 20 productions at this theatre and can safely say I have never been disappointed. A fairly small theatre which adds to the intimacy. I don't believe ''bad seats' exist here and they have some good wheelchair accessible seating also. The quality of the performances are comparable to the West End - but without the expensive prices.... More

I have lost count of the number of terrific productions that our family has been entranced by. From the family panto, which tends to be of the traditional type. V.popular with the smalls who adore being frightened by a real Panto villain. Hiss and boo to your heart's content, is the order of the day. Many West End plays and... More
