The architecture is amazing, and I'm informed there are pokéstops within the area, leading to happy children.

This may be one of the smallest Cathedrals in England but it always has a warm welcome and many things to see and hear with the many exhibitions and concerts throughout the year. Go to one of the coral Evensong's and listen to one of the many choirs that sing here, there is always something to do here for all... More

Chelmsford cathedral is a little jewel. The stone work outside is really rich. The interior is very tidy and impressive.

It has retained that intimacy as a church, and consequently, somehow, it feels much more welcoming. The sculpted 'Christ in Glory' that hangs from the chancel arch is... More

We visited in December, just before Christmas. We found it to be very beautiful inside and we would have loved to have attended a service there.

We had the good fortune recently to be asked to be God Parents and visited the Cathedral for the first time. We were treated to a potted history of the Cathedral by the Dean which is truly interesting. We also attended a carol service last Christmas and were astounded by the virtuosity of the resident choir and felt welcomed by... More

Thought we would go into Chelmsford Cathedral as a diversion from a planned shopping trip. What a wonderful building with a mix of old and new that sit side by side comfortably. The staff are inviting and friendly and we re charged our batteries by taking a little time out of a busy day to just be quiet. Will definitely... More

Beautiful place, get a guided tour if you can, very knowledgable people, my grandchildren loved looking for the hidden objects in the tree of life. Check the website for various concerts throughout the year, but especially the Friday lunchtime concerts. Everything from big band to classical to jazz and tea, coffee sandwiches and cakes for sale! Or bring your own, great... More

Thank you for your review. It is lovely to know how much the lunchtime concerts are appreciated and I will pass on your comments to all those who are involved. Although this season is almost over, there are two 'Carols for Everyone' on 16 & 23 December at 12.30 pm and I hope you will be able to join us... More
