Beautiful Open Space I thought I knew the North Norfolk beaches but these are something else. We walked from Thornham to Holme, and Thornham to Old Hunstanton which includes the beach at Holme. The feeling of space is awesome. The beaches are just so deep....More

One of the most beautiful and tranquil places. Either sit in the sandy dunes miles away from any main road or walk along the buggy friendly boardwalk ending at the the pub in Thornham...

Once you get beyond the dunes., there's miles of wonderful sandy beaches...so unspoilt..Its easy to see how this was the perfect spot for smugglers centuries ago!

Miles of unspoiled sand with ever changing gullies and streams over a season, cross the beach when the tide is out. The dunes, which are a haven for wild birds, are beautiful in their ruggedness and a joy to walk through on our way too...More

I grew up here and recently took my grandchildren to see where I played and roamed. There is still scope for fun, swimming, walking, sandcastles, bird watching, shrimping and so much more. Some areas are controlled to protect breeding birds.

Enjoyed many walks and bird watching at Holme. It was Norfolk dine out week so Titchwell Manor at Titchwell and the Lifeboat Inn at Thornham were excellent

After going to RSPB Titchwell recently I decided to visit Holme Dunes NWT reserve. The cafe and shop are quite good. However, after they closed I went along the road and up a small embankment with binoculars. A number of birdwatchers were waiting for dusk...More

Excellent for birdwatchers - go to the NWT reserve - they have a café and shop and a great place to be if there is a NE wind !

Nice brisk walk after lunch at the lighthouse cafe at old HUNSTANTON sea air nice and bracing as always ready for a cuppa at tims lighthouse cafe
