Well worth the walk up the hill. Some very impressive gold and silver. Beautiful building with fantastic view over the town and sea.

Seriously impressive setting, and a seriously impressive entrance to this building, make this a journey well worth making. Inside the church, interesting votives hang from the ceiling (as seen in Francesco's Mediterranean Voyage); take your time to enjoy these, and don't forget to look for...More

I visited yesterday the Church with my family. Personally I am not a religious person. Of course it's a must in Tinos but if you could avoid the morning hours that the ships arrive at the island cause the church is too much crowded with...More

This cathedral is steeped in religious tradition, history, and devotion. Read up on it before you visit so you can appreciate the significance. It is a highly significant location in the religious world within and outside Greece.

A very beautiful (with all kind of constructions from marble) group of building and artifacts. Interesting to see people access the church on their knees. Unfortunately the main image of Panayia is hard to be seen due to the jewelry that cover it.

Lovely church on the hill (the faithful crawl on hands and knees up the carpeted path from the port) with a diamond and jewel-encrusted portrait of Mary inside. Look for the hanging lamps hanging from the ceiling with icons of houses, ships, hands, babies and...More
