Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a very different temple to the usual Buddhist ones. Dedicated to Lord Krishna it shows his story in pictures around the wall. We went as part of a group and there was someone in the temple who insisted in telling us all about the pictures. We did learn a lot but there are a lot of pictures!

This is a temple in the middle of Kalimpong and although the way to the temple is very congested the temple itself is spread over a vast area. It has a peaceful vibe and depicts the main events of lord Krishna’s life beautifully. There is also a Krishna garden which is nicely landscaped. It is a must visit.

The dham is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The alley to the dham is rather narrow and dirty but he dham premises was unexpectedly clean and pleasant. The silence within the premises was something you cannot ignore. Felt really good.

Beautiful temple with huge premises from the Kalimpong perspective. very well maintained and this is worth visiting while returning back from the lava trip. the road to the temple or while returning back is interesting where your taxi will be negotiating the traffic on a single lane with high steep towards the main market.

The temple is famous and huge. A must visit place for the people who are religiously inclined towards Lord Shiva. Details have been given by many visitors before me but I would like to add some more.
1. The Temple can be accessed by wheelchair and strollers. There is a Battery Powered car which shuttle between the main parking area to the temple which is located at the top of the hill otherwise accessible climbing around 100-120 steps ( Rs.20 per person back and forth)
2. The temple premises is clean and clearly marked if otherwise slippery. Walking without shoes also doesn’t make the feet dirty)
(Restrooms are also non stinky can be accessed using their slippers)
3. Worshipping inside the Temple is closed 12:00-12:30 during day time.
4. It has spectacular view of the surroundings
5. There are restaurants and hotel/guest house within the temple premises.
6.Can be visited with old and young family members also.

We have visited quite a few dhams across India, but this Mangal Dham (that is dedicated to the great Lord Krisha) really takes the cake for its peace and tranquility. Not only does it have a lot of greenery built around its campus but when you step inside the temple, the quite and peace that you experience is simply magical. You straight away feel the need to sit and mediate for a some time and that's exactly what we did.
The temple also has several dozens of sculptures and paintings that are simply magnificent and magical. This spiritual dham can be considered as a part temple and part museum given the magnificent paintings and sculptures that it has in its premises!
The temple also has a small little book store where they sell books regarding the history of this place and how this wonderful temple was established by Shri Krishna Pranami, in memory of later Guru Shri Mangaldasji who was a highly devout bakth of Sri Lord Krishna.
The temple also has a learning centre for folks who are interested in learning several cultural skills such as singing, dancing, et al!
We strongly suggest to every tourist that visits Kalimpong not to miss this beautiful and serene spiritual abode! Jai Sri Krishna!!

We had visited this temple on 20/04/2017. It is located in the heart of Kalimpong. It is a modern Krishna temple. There is a good garden also. There are large sized paintings with theme from life of lord Krishna. A must place in Kalimpong. Not to be missed.
