Govardhana matha/peetham is one of four cardinal institutions established by Adi Shankara in the four corners of India. It has very much importance in Hindu religion.

This place is very old, religious and situated near swargdwar. Accomodation facility is also available there if u have some reference there. Swami Nischalanand ji Saraswati resides there. U should go there between 5 to 7 pm daily, timings of shankaracharya ji pravachan.

After Visiting Jagannath temple , you should have a visit to this peetha and have a blessing of the Gurudev . The new Bimala Maa temple inside the peetha is also an attraction .
