Located within the Shillong Cantonment, on the outskirts of the city, lies a sparkling waterfall which looks like an eagle with wings spread. Hence the name Spread Eagle Falls. Spread Eagle Falls is the only water fall within Shillong Town! It's dried up mostly & not of any beauty which warrants a visit! Locals use it for washing/drinking use! Give it a miss!

There is a tendency of taking the money out of the traveller's pocket now a days. Spread Eagle Falls is such a place. Located near an Army area, this Fall is really inaccessible now a days. What you find is city sewage waters falling from a height. Really not worth visiting.

A very beautiful waterfall in Shillong. It was very soothing to visit this waterfall. Interestingly, it actually resembles to an eagle when you look at it.
