Kaziranga National Park is where one should head if you are in NE India during winter months. Absolutely breathtaking. However the jeeps and the drivers are not upto the mark. Very old jeeps which do not add to you confidence in case of a rhino chase (as we experienced!)....the drivers too are inexperienced.

Kaziranga was a wonderful experience, mostly due to the welcoming people and their generous hospitality. One of the highlights of my trip was a visit to a small village community, where a local NGO was being run by a woman named Rupjyoti. She was teaching women how to use traditional crafts such as weaving and cooking to earn a profit... More

Your visit to Assam would be incomplete if you do not plan a visit to Kaziranga National Park for sighting of the famous one horned rhino. The animal of assam.

Had visited Kaziranga by luck. It's one of the places you must visit if your interested in wildlife. You will definitely spot a rhino or more, nothing explains a legacy quite evocatively if your here.
