Well maintained and a vast area to explore. Also has a good variety of animals. An activity for atleast half a day.

Hello visitors, had you ever gone to a zoo? No? Than it's time to visit a beautiful zoo. And it should be Assam state zoo. Here you can saw lot's of wild animals, flora and fauna. Thanks

Assam State Zoo, also known as botanical garden is one of the largest animal sanctuary of its kind. I was accompanying my family in this tour. Greenery surrounds this place. Nothing special. It is like as other Zoo. but need to be proper restoration then it could have been a watchable.

The lions look like they are suffering from malnutrition. the zoo is big but very little money is spent on maintenance.

I visited the zoo for my 5 year old son, zoo is not well maintained, felt sad about the conditions in which the animals are kept, especially the lone tiger, kept in a two by two cage for the visitors to be able to see it, poor guy was crying out all the time, not a place where any animal... More

Have been going to the zoo in late 90's and early 2000. Then it was a very good attraction as its spread in a very wide area and the lion enclosure was a must visit. then elephant and rhino areas are very good to see. More or leas a good picnic spot.
