A trip to Markko Vineyards is always an amazing experience. With it's old fashioned character, location nestled in the woods, Arnie's dogs to greet you and of course the wonderful wines, you will be in for a treat. Arnie and his staff always greet you...More
Don’t go to Markko if you want sweet wine or a band or lunch or dinner. Do go if you want to try some of the best crafted Ohio wine available. The chardonnays are superior. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon earned 88 points from Wine Enthusiast-...More

Not what you expect in this area, but a pleasant surprise. The owner is on site and welcomes you with conversation, education, and years of wine making knowledge and experience. The wines are superb and the history of the owner explains why. Sit and converse...More
We stopped in and met the man running it for 50 years
The wine was good. And when he says wine tasting he means taste the whole bottle
He provides the best rye bread and cheese and again lots.
He has good stories
Stopped by here while passing through. Easily one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable wine tasting experiences we have had. We also enjoyed the wine. Spend the few minutes to find this place if you're nearby - and enjoy the wine in this informal setting.
