Came here last year to see Lecrea and was able to bring my camera, lastnight they said no. It’s a regular point and shoot no detachable lens ( Nikon p520) but whatever took it back to car didn’t feel like questioning or arguing! It’s your...More

I've been visiting Newport Hall for the last 20 years to see shows. It has't changed a bit! Aside from a really terrible bathroom set up for ladies, I love that it hasn't changes. The venue gets good acts and i'm willing to travel from...More

We saw a band here that had eight members. All but two of them had instruments, and when they all played and sang, the audio turned to mud. Fortunately, the opening act was a singer with her guitar and a bass. They sounded fine. And...More

Recently went to see a Pink Floyd cover band, Wish You Were Here at the Newport. I've been to the theater several times, and they've all been good experiences.

Saw Johnnyswim here with general admission tickets. Love this place! So intimate! There are different elevations, so can find a spot where there isn't a head in front of your face. You can stand on the first floor, so go upstairs and stand on the...More

The newport itself is not a bad place to catch a decent act and good price. Not much seating, but good views standing. Good beer prices not outrageous for concert venue. Well worth going if there's a scheduled act your interested in seeing

Worst small venue I've been in for seeing bands. Crappy acoustics, hard to get a good view of the stage (and I'm 6' tall), treacherous stairs and I say again crappy acoustics. My dedication to a band got me in the door, and the band...More

We took our seven year son to see Lord Huron this past week. Look…going in you know the facility is old….it should not be a surprise. There is a variety of areas to sit or stand depending on your needs. We decided to sit up...More

It was an interesting night at the Newport. This old theater has decent sound and provides a good line of sight for a variety of people. You have the sunken floor, surrounded by a raised area, and there is a balcony. Unfortunately, the building lost...More

Saw The Griswolds and San Cisco. Excellent show. Acoustics were okay, but this building was originally a theater back in the day. Great views from balcony, plus they had bench style seating in the rear both upstairs and downstairs. Tickets were $5.
