This museum doesn’t necessarily stand out in downtown Columbus from the outside but it is an absolute gem. It can be difficult to find if you just stick to high street and short north - but it is worth exploring. It is absolutely fabulous with...More

This was our second trip here. It was a free day to selected museums courtesy of the Columbus Foundation. We parked in their lot for only $5. More rooms of art to explore than you would think. I especially enjoyed the reclining Buddha and the...More

Enjoyed our visit. The exhibits are very well done. We were surprised at how small the museum is overall, but again, it’s very nice.

We aren't big art museum goers so our favorite part was the Columbus Lego display which was truly amazing. Love the free general admission on Sundays. We enjoyed exploring the exhibits and checking out all of the works of art

Not quite what we expected, although we have HP fans, you really needed to be on another level to get the best from this. Aside from that the museum was very interesting - but not so much so for pre-school children.

Celebrated Dia de los Muertos on "Think Like an Artist Thursday" at the Columbus Museum of Art. You could create your own mask out of poster board, a flower out of tissue paper, etc. Very creative way to help people become familiar with the museum...More

Was surprised by how quickly it took to go through the museum. There are some good pieces, but figured that there would be a lot more. Had allocated 3 hours but got through in less than in ah hour.

I had a wonderful afternoon and evening here, taking in all the exhibits. The museum was larger than I was expecting, and I kept discovering new galleries I had missed. I would certainly return if in the area!

If you go to the museum web site and click on the menu in the upper right, click Art and then Collection and you'll get a good sense of what's there.

A tour given by a docent can be helpful to understand the history of the pieces and take a little extra time but it is worth it. Add in time for shopping and it could take about two to three hours.
