The Short North runs along about 10 blocks of North High Street immediately north of the Columbus Convention center. It is a fabulous mix of shops, galleries, bars, breweries and restaurants. It is unmatched in any other part of Columbus. It is easy to spend a full day there. Unfortunately, parking is a nightmare, particularly on the weekend. As a... More

A great area of Columbus to find a restaurant. This area was a dump in the 90s, now it's beautiful. A great time for couples or families.

Attended Ohio State in the 80's when there was nothing between the campus and downtown. Had the recent opportunity to eat and shop in this area on a recent trip and was pleasantly surprised how many people were out and about even on a cold rainy day. Lots of variety when it comes to places to eat and shop.

Whenever we're in Columbus we visit the Short North. It's a great area to walk and explore. Lots of quaint bistros and eateries. I love the Wine on High Bar & Retail, it's a great spot to sample wines and have a light snack. I visited the Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse but it's overpriced and unless you like your steak... More

Wonderful shops, galleries and restaurants. When you are sick and tired of "anywhere USA". Recommend Melt for food and candle lab for fun

Considering what this neighborhood used to be ages ago it is impressive to see what it has become...depending on your views on gentrification. This is not really an arts district IMO...the people there will argue with you that their pottery and old lady paintings are super artsy but this place is primarily where you go to drink, see a drag... I love all the shops and trendy spots. Great to walk around and browse. The parking is very difficult so we park and then walk. Definitely going back.

Great restaurants, art galleries, shops, mostly on one main street which is easily walkable Parking is challenging, but embrace walking and enjoy the neighborhoods, views of the city buildings, and great shops along the way.
