Downstairs is a car museum created by one millionaire that really liked exotic cars. On one wing is an old house that is full of really expensive old stuff. (Everything is behind glass or high enough that kids don't mess with it) so this attraction is definitely quite kid friendly

I received a pass to go to this museum and loved it!! It has a little bit of everything related to Cleveland. Bob Hope,Euclid Beach Carosel, airplanes, cars, estates home decor and history to name a few. You can't go wrong making a stop here!

Interesting place to spend a few hours. Self-guided tour but docent was available to answer questions and provide in-depth information. Guided tour on weekends when you can also tour the 2nd floor of the mansion. In addition to the mansion there was the Crawford Auto and Aviation Museum, Kids area, and Bob Hope tribute. Costume section was closed (preparing new... More

There is so much to do here. We looked around the mansion (could have had a tour, but decided to skip it). There was a huge kids area with lots of fun historical activities. There was also a special exhibit on Bob Hope at the time we visited. We also went in the Crawford Auto portion of the museum with... More

Tours of the mansion are highly recommended and featured displays very well done. On the left side is one of the finest automotive and aircraft displays available. Be sure to ride the restored carousel which is both beautiful and nostalgic.

Anyone who has lived in northwestern Ohio will love this museum, full of regional history. Brought back many memories of my childhood. Great collection of antique cars. Cool neighborhood.

Visiting the collection of museums and exhibits was a very nice way to spend a few hours. The antique automobiles were quite interesting, and I liked the focus on local manufacturers. I had no idea there were so many early auto companies in the Cleveland area. We also took a guided tour of the mansion, which was informative, and the... More

The Western Reserve Historical Society does a great job with touching on a very wide selection of local history. Visitors walk away knowing more than when they walked in. Yet it would be nice if the Museum selected some topics to give more expansive exhibits on. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The Museum can easily be visited over... More

We visited the Western Reserve Historical Museum on a cold Saturday in January. Traffic was light and we could freely move around the various displays and collections. Even as adults we enjoyed the carousel ride which brought back memories of previous rides when I was a child. This is a great way to get the vibe on Cleveland's past industrial... More

This was a fun day out. My son (9) and daughter (12) both found things to be interested in and enjoyed the carousel more than I thought they would! There variety of things: cars, clothing, the mansion, train, kids area... it was a nice mix to keep them interested. We were a bit old for the kids area, but looked... More
