The museum is a significant international forum for exhibitions, scholarship, performing arts and art education and recently completed an ambitious, multi-phase renovation and expansion project across its campus. One of the top comprehensive art museums in the nation and free of charge to all, the Cleveland Museum of Art is located in the dynamic University Circle neighborhood.

We were surprised by the quality of the collection and impressed by the pieces by Picasso, Monet and Renoir. There was a huge display of a Monet's water lily on the second floor. Equally impressive were some of the > 2000 year old relics and...More

The interactive art lens wall is like nothing you have experienced. You click on a picture of piece of art and it tells you everything and where to find it and you can do this with your smart phone. There is so much to see...More

After touring most of the museum, I could not believe that there was no charge for visiting. They have a very large endowment which means that everyone has access to the art - and what art it is!! The collection of art rivals many of...More

Beautiful collections in a beautiful setting. I enjoyed a small exhibit dedicated to recent acquisitions as well as how they noted new acquisitions throughout the museum. I also tried using their app ARTLENS. It’s user friendly and I really liked being able to note works...More

This is one of the under-recognized Art Museums in the United States. It has exceptional Asian and Medieval art collections, but also very fine representative works of other periods and regions. The modern addition is perfectly integrated with the classic building, with a handsome covered...More

First off, I know NOTHING about art. I'm not really into it and would not consider myself an art person by any means. With that being said, this place was beautiful. The atrium alone is worth the visit. I didn't really care for the "modern"...More

Glad I took the time to include this museum on my itinerary during a week-end trip to Cleveland even though I am not an arts guru. It's a very impressive building, well laid out with loads of space in the main galleries. I was lucky...More

We stayed in University Circle, and visited twice. What a fantastic museum. Not only the Monets, Van Gogh's, Pollock, and Warhol, but the Asian art and medieval armor sections are amazing. And it is all housed in a beautiful building in a very nice area....More

While in Cleveland, their Art museum is well worth visiting. Admission is free, you have to pay for parking and for any special exhibits. The museum’s collection is varied enough to have something to appeal to just about any taste. They have a very nice...More

This is an interactive and well rounded museum. So many stunning works! One of the few free museums (excepting special exhibitions) in the U.S. Deep and varied collections.

I agree with the two other responses. 2 hours minimum, but you could spend all day if you get food or just want to sit in the magnificent atrium and watch the world go by. Also it depends on how much you read descriptions... More

We almost always park on Martin Luther King, down the hill from CMA. Along MLK parking is free. This is not a good choice if snowy or rainy, but beautiful because you can walk by or look back at the Wade lagoon.
