The Cleveland Museum of Art is a treasure! As an artist myself, I often go and walk the galleries of the permanent collections. They have a wonderful new asian gallery and a growing contemporary collection. I might add that this museum is free to all except for special exhibitions. The entire university circle area is great to walk around and... More

Great museum... well organized and lots of exhibits. Peaceful surroundings and helpful staff. We spent well over 3 hours and could have stayed all day.

Very nice remodel, my 12 years loved the modern art and the interactive technology items. The cafe is way overpriced but quality food.

The CMA is rated second to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. I've visited many of the museums with high rankings, frequently visiting the Met during the years that I lived in NYC. The CMA deserves its reputation. They have an outstanding permanent collection of paintings from the Impressionist era - Renoir, Degas, Cassatt, and more. And the museum... More

We spent a leisurely Saturday afternoon here. The building is amazing. We walked over from the history museum and made a day of exploring, since I've been born and raised in Cleveland and never visited this museum. We are planning on going again, it was that beautiful. You need at least a few hours, just to at least see everything.... More

It's free, and the Museum is a work of art in and of itself. And the collections are all top quality and presentation without being so huge as to dilute the magnificence of the overall experience.

Wow! I have travelled to art museums around the world, and this is one of the best collections I have ever seen! And it's free! They have something for everyone- from Renaissance to modern, and even an entire room filled with armor. The architecture is beautiful too.

Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in this amazing art museum. I had no idea that Cleveland had such a treasure. All periods of art are well represented. I enjoyed seeing paintings of well known artists that are less revered yet extremely noteworthy. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the casual restaurant. The selections were unique and delicious. I highly recommend eating... More

This is my home city's art museum so I am biased as I grew up with museum and has seen it get better and better as the years go by. A wonderful collection of art spanning all styles and collections, a great atmosphere, and lots of natural light (especially for an art museum). I only wish there was a greater... More
