Spangler Candy Company is a family-owned private company making candy since 1906. Our products include lollipops, candy canes, and marshmallow candies.

Visit the Spangler Candy Store for gift baskets, Dum Dums t-shirts, and candy! While your're there, be sure to drop by the museum to learn about Spangler Candy's history. Don't forget to buy a ticket for the trolley tour of the factory too! It's a great way for both kids and adults to learn about their favorite candy!

Factory tour by trolley; free candy; very friendly folks.

Easy access; manufacturing facility for Dum-Dums (what we called lollipops back east); smells great if you like candy. Company is very community oriented. Could make lots more... read more

Interesting displays showcase the history of candy that we were familiar with at one time. Nice selection of candy to choose from in the store. Reasonable prices on candy and dum dum apparel. The tour was much shorter and less thorough than we anticipated. We had an hour and a half drive. Not worth the trip unless you are much... More

Easy access; manufacturing facility for Dum-Dums (what we called lollipops back east); smells great if you like candy. Company is very community oriented. Could make lots more money moving facility to Canada or Mexico due to USA sugar premium (thanks Florida sugar barons/ farm lobby).

We arrived on a weekday as soon as they opened & were informed that a large school group was coming in 15 minutes & so we could not take the tour for 2 hrs. (Would suggest calling if U go). Then another group of seniors came in & an employee came out & offered to give us all a shortened... More

Excellent presentation of video materials. Tours are limited to number of guest so prepare to wait until enough available space.

We camped near by with my parents and our 4 year old. The tours leave on the half hour and were only $5/person and our son was free. He loved the little trolley ride through the factor. It's a bummer you cant go through the kitchen and see the candy being made (due to food safety regulations) but the packaging... More

My mother worked at Spanglers 50 years ago +/-. She toured the plant with a group of senior citizens from her assisted living facility. We are camping at Sauder Village so took our grandson on the tour. We all enjoyed the tour on the trolley and could see enough of the operations to get good idea of the candy making... More

My friend and I were doing the 127 Longest Garage Sale and stopped in Bryan, OH. We decided to take the tour and see the museum. The museum is pretty interesting -- it is in the shop, so you can easily see it while waiting for the tour. The trolley is cute (fun for kids). You mainly see warehouses and... More

My family was looking for a quick trip during summer break. What a great time. Our children ranged in age from 3 to 12. All of children learned something and were entertained on the tour. The tour was perfect length for smaller children and the whole tour was riding in the trolley. The factory smelled yummy and of course there... More

What a fun place! The trolley through the factory was informative and fun. It smells so good! My 6 year old enjoyed seeing the dum dums. My 3 year old just enjoyed the ride! The museum was neat for my in-laws because they remembered a lot of the old candy packaging. It was only a short 1 hour trip with... More
