This is a nice place to walk around and see what animals are there that are being rehabbed or stay per enact due to injury. Inside area with fish to see and other reptiles! Also have classes for little ones to enjoy. You wou have to check with them for times!

With many native animals on exhibit up close and personal this is the best place to visit for an afternoon. The helpful staff person said that all the animals there were injured in some way and that they actually fixed them up right there at the facility. They said they try to release the animals back to the wild, but... More

The key is that this attraction is FREE. I visited with my four children 8-15. They enjoyed getting out of the car. It is beside a park with picnic benches, we had a lovely lunch here. We drove back to the Center (which is located right on the road that leads to the beach) in time for the Planetarium show.... More

Great for children to see tortoises, rabbits, fish and birds. Their was also a fox, a few snakes and frogs. The birds were in small and old cages but was told most couldn't fly or were being rehabilitated to be released at a later date. Many programs exist for scouting groups, children's camps or family learning centre but not really... More

An outstanding setting for introducing children to a variety of regional "wild" animal characters in an intelligent, classy and humane fashion. A must for any family that wishes to help their young members better appreciate the world around them. Also of interest has been the graphic show explaining some facts and ideas about our universe. One should be advised to... More

This place is awesome. The dedication that the staff has to making sure that each and every adult and child enjoys their time while they're visiting the Nature Center is astonishing. This place is great for both adults and kids alike. I would definitely recommend it. There are so many wonderful things to view while you are here and the... More

Animals of local nature to view. Small venue so not overwhelming for young children. Very educational. Special programs periodically offered geared to families with kids.

Lake Erie Nature and Science Center is a great place for anyone interested in nature and astronomy. There are many animals to see - snakes, birds, rabbits, ducks, fish, and bees, just to name a few. There is also a planetarium with informative space programs. There is a small fee for the planetarium programs but otherwise there is not cost... More
