About
Ideally located on a sweeping bend on the Murray, you’ll soon discover that you need to stay a little longer to experience all that Renmark and Paringa has to offer! Renowned as the eastern gateway to South Australia, Renmark boasts an abundance of history, rose gardens, houseboats, gourmet food and beverages, tracks and trails to explore, regional events, riverside camping and uninterrupted river views. The Renmark Paringa Visitor Centre is centrally located on the riverfront area. Our experienced staff provide a wide range of information services covering the Renmark & Paringa district, the Riverland, South Australia and selected interstate regions plus offer an expansive range of souvenirs, gifts, locally grown produce, an informative historical displays and a bike hire service. The Paddle Steamer Industry is also accessible from the Visitor Centre, with the PS Industry offering cruises on the first Sunday of each month and other selected dates.

We are only in Renmark for a few days and wanted to maximise our time here so we called in to see what we could do. The lady we spoke to was very helpful and we are now booked onto a cruise tomorrow and have a list of places to visit of the remainder of the time.

Located on the edge of the river as one would expect is the town's information centre. There is a gorgeous wall of red poppies (externally) - not sure if it was done for ANZAC day or if it's a permanent feature, but it's a lovely memorial either way.
Inside the information centre there are oodles of information boards to give you a comprehensive background on what makes this area tick,.. its history, its purpose and its future.
As with most information centres there are local items to buy- I left here with nuts and dried fruit... the cinnamon almonds were opened shortly thereafter and they were quite a treat.
Staff were very helpful and explained about what had occurred with the Argo Barge.

Thank you Renae (and Lateisha) for being so helpful and informative. Scanning QR codes is no where near as good a source of overall information as talking to real people who know there stuff.

Great attentive staff. Excellent range of brochures for your travels in SA. A wealth of knowledge that can only enhance your stay, and make you wished you were here longer. Good local produce and souvenirs at OK prices.

As soon as we entered we were talked to and made to feel welcome. Lots of customers and plenty of staff, so nice to be acknowledged.
Had a bit of a look around we were asked if we needed help. We spoke to a staff member who was so knowledgeable and positive about her town.
We covered places to visit, what to do and then local foods. The centre stocks boutique local producers items which was awesome. Bought heaps of items for the pantry.
Support these information centres and the staff who work in them. Renmark be proud of this one, very enjoyable experience. Thanks.

Served by a not very inspiring lady who suggested nothing, asked nothing and allowed us to walk around and leave. We were the only ones there. An opportunity missed by her.
