After postponing this holiday for 12 months because of Covid, we can honestly say our trip with Paul to the outback was well worth the wait and by far exceeded our expectations.
Woomera & Coober Pedy were a tick off our bucket list and were so fascinating, but Paul blew us away when he took us to see The Breakaways at sunrise, just so magical & stunning.
Paul knows what he is doing when it comes to handling a 4WD & is a very safe driver. He is so knowledgeable about the outback, its animals & its history.
We were very privileged to come across and chat to an inspiring young woman named Sophie out in the desert on the Oodnadatta Track 88 kilometres from Coober Pedy. She is walking & leading her 5 beloved camels on a Coast to Coast Camel trek across the breadth of Australia from Shark Bay WA to Byron Bay NSW. Paul leaves no stone unturned to show you a unique sight & Sophie was a great example of that!!
Flying over & walking on Lake Eyre and seeing the Dingo Fence were also wonderful, surreal experiences where you need to pinch yourself so you don't miss a second.
Driving through Brachina Gorge in the Flinders Ranges and a flight over Wilpena Pound were also breath-taking scenery.
We saw & experienced far too many other wonderful places to list here and we were very happy with all our accommodation and Paul kept us well fed & watered the whole trip.
If you are wanting a memorable outback experience you can't go past the dedication of Paul & Astrid to give you that personal, unique experience.
After being in the business for 20 years, it is refreshing to see the love & passion that Paul still has for the outback.
The personal touch in the tours that they provide is the way to go for us in the future.
Cheers

If you are wondering if Wallaby track adventure tours are good value we would tell you - don’t hesitate - it is worth every cent. Paul was our guide and driver but Astrid was in the background with logistical support. This proved important as many roads were closed by localised rain events. But we did not need to worry as our team had alternatives quickly in place. Fortunately in the end the original plans were all possible.
Paul was a bottomless well of local, relevant and interesting information. Whether it be fauna, flora, geology, history, local personalities and events, cultural activities or local businesses. Paul had the knowledge and contacts and he made every possible effort to ensure his guests had a memorable experience and the photos to go with them.
We take away the memories of being metres away from yellow footed rock wallabies in their own habitat, wedge tailed eagles landing along side our vehicle, Paul calling the red crested finch almost by magic and numerous other fauna. And the magic of the Flinders vistas opening before us from the very best vantage points. Just magical. We ( two couples) must have congratulated ourselves 20 times over 4 days on being so clever in our choice of tour hosts. Thank you Paul and Astrid.

We have recently returned home after a 7 day custom tour with Paul as our driver. Our tour took in the Flinders Ranges, a flight over Wilpena Pound, a flight over Lake Eyre and the Painted Hills; the Ridgetop Tour at Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, a Coober Pedy experience, plus so much more. Paul was an absolute pleasure - we thoroughly enjoyed his company and his knowledge, plus his driving at all times ensured a relaxing holiday, taking in the sensational views. His 4WD Toyota Landcruiser allowed us safe and very comfortable access to some breathtaking sites. We had so many amazing photo opportunities and Paul knew someone at every stop. It was also lovely to meet Astrid who provided us with a lovely lunch on day one. Thank you so much Paul and Astrid for such a truly memorable holiday. Arthur and Jenny

Seeing 8 of the yellow footed rock wallabies in their natural habitat - an endangered species was the highlight. Astrid was a very knowledgeable and interesting guide. We did the 6 hour day tour out of Hawker and it was just sensational for us city folks. Besides the wallabies we saw emus, kangaroos, a feral cat, fossils, and scenery to remember. The car was excellent over the corrugated dirt roads and the driving by Astrid made it very comfortable. She is very experienced and professional as well as being a very friendly lady. Highlight of our time in lovely South Aussie.

Husband and wife team Paul and Astrid are an amazing couple with 25 years experience in outback touring. My husband & I did their "Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre & Flinders Ranges Experience" Tour, Specialising in couples and small family groups, Paul met us at at our hotel in Adelaide for our four nights & five days tour of the the southern outback. Just the two of us in Paul's 4 wheel drive vehicle we really felt we experienced the outback and national parks with Paul giving a very informative commentary all the way. Everything was included; three meals a day, two light aircraft flights, ridge top tour, morning coffee & afternoon ice creams. Give this trip serious consideration when planning your trip. Amazing!

10 Day Tour -Birdsville, Innaminka "Ultimate Outback Experience. We have just returned from the most scenic and informative outback experience. Paul's wealth of knowledge of the outback gave us an inside view to the life and beauty of the outback. Meeting the locals characters along the way added to the adventure. Driving through the gorges at Wilpena, the Ridge top tour at Arkaroola, being the first of the season to visit Congie Lake and it's amazing birdlife getting to the top of Big Red at Birdsville and finally walking and flying on and overLake Eyre were just a few of our highlights. Australian outback is a must.

We did a 4 hour tour of Wilpena Pound's ranges and gorges with Astrid of Wallaby Tracks Adventure Tours. We genuinely felt we were travelling with a friend in the air conditioned comfort of Astrid's Land Cruiser as she took us off the beaten track through the National Park showing us ancient geological features, wild life including kangaroos, rock wallabies, families of emus, wedge-tailed eagles, rainbow bee eaters and more plus glorious views from look-outs. Astrid's commentary reflected her deep knowledge of the Flinders Ranges. We were cool as cucumbers in car during the 34C summer heat and had the chance to stretch our legs at various rock formations and lookouts. This tour is highly recommended, don't give it a second thought before you book!!

The Flinders Ranges out of Adelaide was one more item on our bucket list, which we have now been able to cross off. A wonderful four day private tour organized by Wallaby Tracks Adventure Tours was all that we could have imagined. Paul was our driver/guide and we were fortunate that Astrid (his wife) was able to join us on this adventure. They both complimented each other with their knowledge. The planning along with information, accommodation and the inclusion of all meals, made this a truly memorable experience. Our timing was perfect for viewing the beautiful Sturt Pea along with many other flowering plants and the wild life of the area. The Arkaroola Ridge Top Tour is a must for travellers as it was spectacular. All in all our thanks go to Astrid and Paul for everything.

This tour was fantastic. Astrid was a great tour guide with so much knowledge of the area. Extremely comfortable , great to only have a small group( 4 people total). We saw so much and learnt so much, we were tossing up whether to do tour but so so glad we did. We saw so much, places we never would have seen on our own and as I said Astrid's knowledge of area, the geogology and history of the place was amazing. A lovely morning tea and lunch provided. All in all a fantastic day and well worth every cent. We are so pleased we did this tour. Thank you Astrid.

My wife & I took a 4 day trip with Paul through the Flinders Ranges and out to Arkaroola Station. It was without doubt the highlight of our 5 week trip to Australia.
Paul is the perfect tour guide: He has encyclopaedic knowledge of the area (no small task and no small area!), flora and fauna and seems to be mates with everyone in South Australia. His insights into the region and its characters is remarkable. Paul's also a professional mechanic - a skill he undersells but one that is reassuring on trips into the outback. You don't necessarily appreciate immediately how much preparation and thought Paul has put into the organisation but it gradually dawns over 4 days - the satellite phone, the 2 spare wheels, the refrigerated esky - and the seamlessness with which he organises the itinerary.
Above all, though, Paul is a thoroughly nice bloke with whom it is a pleasure and privilege to be with, even cooped up in a 4WD for several hours at a time. He took time to find out about our interests and went out of his way to adapt the tour to include sites and experiences that turned a great trip into a truly unforgettable one.
Thanks Paul - we're planning the next trip already.
